Membership
Membership in KACLT is open, upon payment of dues, to teachers of Chinese at all levels, to former teachers of Chinese, administrators, students of Chinese, and friends of the Chinese language and Chinese –speaking cultures.
Membership is based on the calendar year and runs from January 1st to December 31.
The dues for regular members are payable in the fall of the year proceeding the membership year. Members who have not paid their dues by December 31st are considered inactive.
Membership registration form can be filled out online http://kaclt.wikispaces.com/Member. The member fee can be paid either at the annual KWLA fall conference, or contact our current treasurer (Individual Membership fee $20; Organizational Membership fee $200-$500 depending on the size of the organization).
KACLT members, and only members can nominate and be nominated to the annual award of “Teacher of the Year”, “Outstanding New Teacher” and/or “Outstanding Leadership” that complies with KWLA requirements (for detailed requirement of the awards, please consult KWLA website).
Confucius Institutes or other organizations can become organizational members of KACLT. Representatives and liaisons from each of these institutes can also serve on KACLT board. “Outstanding Visiting Chinese Teacher” is designated to award a deserving teacher from KACLT organizational members.
